Landscape Analysis

We monitor landscape and biodiversity changes in agricultural land, forests, alpine mountain areas, wetlands, coasts and shores, and urban environments.

We also monitor and report the state of habitats considered to be of European interest according to EU's Habitats Directive.

Data are collected by field inventory and aerial photo interpretation, and results are used for follow-up of national environmental objectives, research and international reporting.

The Swedish EPA, the Swedish Board of Agriculture, EU, the county administrative boards and other authorities are important principals and collaborators.
