Guest professor Leif Andersson at Hgen has received the ERC Advanced Grant worth 2.3 million EURO for his research in Dissecting genotype-phenotype relationships using high-throughput genomics and carefully selected study populations.
The total budget of 660 million EURO was distributed on 294 top researchers, selected from a total number of 2 284 applications. Nine of the funded researchers are from Sweden. Each grant is worth up to 3.5 million EURO and covers a wide area of topics, for example new treatments of visual impairment, and a better use of sustainable fuels for automotive and aeronautic engines.
