Reindeer husbandry
The Reindeer Husbandry Unit carries out and coordinates multidisciplinary research about reindeer husbandry from an animal science and industry perspective. A large part of the research is done in the form of disciplinary anchored postgraduate projects with applications on reindeer, reindeer husbandry and environmental issues connected to reindeer husbandry. We also carry out education about reindeer and reindeer industry, and contribute in seminars and information activities intended for the industry, authorities and the public.
Our unit consists of four persons of which one is a PhD student. Two additional PhD students are associated with the unit but have their workplaces elsewhere.
