Borrow an e-reader at the Alnarp library
Want to try out reading books and articles on an e-reader? The Alnarp library now has three Sony Reader Pocket Edition to lend (please note that this is only valid at the Alnarp library and only for SLU students and employees).
How does it work?
Borrow an e-reader from us - ask for them at the information desk or request one in the library catalogue (do a search for Sony reader). You may borrow one for 30 days.
The e-reader comes with simple instructions (PDF) and a USB cable which you plug into your computer when you want to download material or charge the e-reader's battery. Each e-reader contains a user's manual and a few free e-books to start reading right away.
What can I read on an e-reader?
From the SLU library you can read what is available in PDF format, for instance articles from our databases or e-books from CAB eBooks. Unfortunately the e-books from Ebrary do not work on these e-readers.
In addition, you can often borrow and download e-books from your public library. Most public libraries offer this service through e-lib.
