Publishing Strategy - bibliometrics
|
To consider: All mentioned on the pages concerning visibility (visibility of the journal, visibility of you and your publications)
Why? If you maximize the visibility of you and your publications there is a greater chance that you get fruitful collaborations and the publications are found, read, used and cited. Correct university address and consistent naming of personal name ensures that your publications are included in bibliometric analyses.

To consider
Collaboration
Why? It broadens your network and may result in more citations.
Comment In some bibliometric analyses fractionalisation is used, which means that you only get credit for a fraction of the publication (if the publication has five authors you get credit for 1/5). There are studies that show that you still benefit regarding citations if you collaborate, at least up to seven authors.

To consider
Register all your publications in the SLU publication database, SLUpub!
Why? SLU publication database is a source for bibliometric analyses, follow-up and evaluations of total publication output (all publication types).
