In Focus on Soils & Water participate about 60 PhD students and about 100 researchers (post-docs, supervisors, and other senior researchers). One of the strengths of FoSW is that it encompasses several SLU departments: Soil and Environment, Aquatic Sciences and Assessment, Ecology, Microbiology, Forest Mycology and Pathology, Energy and Technology, Chemistry, and Agricultural research for Northern Sweden; and three clusters of the Faculty of Natural Resources and Agricultural Sciences: Soil-Water-Environment, Ecology-Crop Production, and Uppsala BioCenter.
