Welcome to the Research School in Food and Feed Safety and Quality

The focus of the Food and Feed Safety and Quality research school (Food&Feed) is quality and safety of food and feed in a broad perspective. It covers the food chain from production of feed and food, environmental aspects, effects on animal and human health, risk assessment of food and feed contaminants and natural components, as well as food security, production methods, game, fish etc.

Food&Feed is appropriate for graduate studies within animal science, feed hygiene, feed preservation and technology, food safety, microbiology, toxicology, pharmacology, pathology, animal genetics and other food, feed and environment related projects.

A presentation of the planned Research School, was given at the launching of the faculties Research Schools and can be seen in the documentation.

The Research School was initiated by the Faculty of  Veterinary Medicine and Animal Sciences for their PhD students.

Courses

 

PhD courses in 2012

The courses are organized in cooperation with previous responsible departments.

Principles of Analytical Methods in Nutrition and Biology, 5 credits. Time: 10 September -30 October  (50%) 2012. For more information contact Hans Pettersson.

Principles of Molecular Biology, 3.5 credits. Time: Start November 2012. For more information contact Jonas Tallkvist.

Diagnostic preparedness in an outbreak situation, 2.0 credits. Time: 21 - 25 May 2012 (100%). For more information and application before 6 May contact Anne-Lie Blomström.
