Here you find information on how to request loans and articles from the SLU University Library and other libraries.

This service is only open for students and staff at SLU and staff at SVA.

Articles

Articles not available online can be requested as a copy through Libris. The first time you make a request you need to create an account in Libris. This requires a library account from the SLU University Library.

When you are logged in, find the journal in Libris and make your request, or go straight to the empty request form and fill in the details.

Please note that as a student you cannot request articles available in print at your own campus library. You need to copy or scan these yourself.

Loans within the SLU University Library

To find books from the SLU University Library, use the library's search tool Primo. To make a loan request you need to have a library account at the SLU University Library. 

 Everyone can request books that are placed at other campuses than their local, as well as books that are checked out by someone else. As a student, you need to pick up books  from the shelves if they are available on your campus.

Loans from other libraries

When literature required for your studies or research is not available from the SLU University Library, you can request an interlibrary loan. Login to Libris, find what you need and make the request, or make the request through the empty request form in Libris.

The first time you make a request you need to create an account in Libris. This requires a library account from the SLU University Library.

How do I receive my request?

You will recieve an email when the required material is available at the library. It should be picked up within four working days. You can also check if your loan has arrived by logging in to your library account. Interlibrary loans needs to be picked up from the library desk during staffed hours.

For staff at Uppsala, Skara and Skinnskatteberg, the books will be lent to you and delevered to the institution stated in your library account.

Renew your loans

To renew your loans, login to your account with you swedish personal number or library card number plus your four digit pin code. As long as nobody else has requested the book, you can renew your loans during one year, after which the loans needs to be returned or shown at the library desk.

Inter library loans needs to be renewed by library staff.

Individuals, companies and organizations can lend material or copy from the SLU Universtity library collections.
