'To pursue research of the highest quality and international excellence' is one of SLU's objectives for research (SLU's Strategy 2013-2016 , page 34). A way to confirm international excellence is to look at the outcome, productivity and impact of publications.
What can be done to enhance the impact of your publications? By considering some factors in your publishing strategy, you can maximize the visibility of your publications and hence improve the chances to get cited. A benefit to you, your research group, your department and SLU since the number of citations and number of publications forms the basic data for bibliometrical analyses used for tenure, allocation of research funds, research assessments (e.g. KoN) etc.
The focus of the seminar will be how support from the SLU library can be improved. It will include a presentation of the support web pages and deal with the journals where people working in the area of animal health and welfare usually publish, as well as other information related to developing your publishing strategy.
The seminar is arranged by Future Animal Health and Welfare, one of SLU's platforms for interdisciplinary research collaboration.
