This year, BIO-X invites you to submit a proposal for new products, methods or services that can lead to improved prevention and detection of hospital-acquired infections.
Hospital-acquired infections include infections acquired at primary care centres, outpatient clinics and hospitals. The scientific or technical solutions should be based on biological knowledge, or include as main part of the project a biological/medical concept verification.
BIO-X usually grants 50 % of the required funding to selected projects, up to SEK 2 million for up to 18 – 24 months.
Main applicants for BIO-X should be a researcher affiliated to universities or public institutes, healthcare staff or small and medium sized enterprises, SMEs, in East Central Sweden, i.e. the counties of Uppsala, Stockholm, Södermanland, Västmanland, Örebro and Östergötland.
