Sebastian Håkansson

page under development...

I did my Ph.D. on virulence mechanisms of the enteropathogenic bacterium Yersinia pseudotuberculosis at Umeå University 1996.
Following my dissertation I performed  post-doctoral-studies at the Dept. of Molecular Microbiology, Washington University School of Medicine in Saint Louis, USA 1996-1999 working on the pathogenic parasite Toxoplasma gondii, studies that I continued at Umeå University where I became assistant professor in 1999. Since 2003, I have worked with the research programme ”Domestication of Microorganisms” at Uppsala BioCenter SLU with special focus on formulation and stabilisation of beneficial microorganisms. In late 2011 I joined the newly started Centre for Biological Control - CBC.
