I work half-time as a researcher at this Department focusing on various questions related to fungal ecology. The other half-time, I work as a fungal conservation expert at the Swedish Species Information Centre being in charge of fungal red-listing in Sweden, active in issues of international fungal conservation and interact in conservation issues with scientist, NGOs, public authorities, land users, the educational systems and the public.

• Molecular identification of soil and wood-inhabiting fungi
• Arctic fungi

I am involved in supervising three PhD-students in questions related to 1.) Patterns and processes of wood-inhabiting fungi in Norway spruce and 2.) The significance of green tree retention for the survival of soil-dwelling fungi in forestry (in collaboration with Sveaskog, Swedish Forestry Agency and Skogforsk), and how populations of wood-living lichens are affected by stump harvest at the level of forest landscapes (in collaboration with Holmen skog and Bergvik skog).
