Profilord (verksamhet):  My main research interest is the effect of land use and land use change on organisms in aquatic and terrestrial systems. In particular, I study the importance of habitat and landscape connectivity (or its antonym fragmentation) at different spatial scales for the population dynamics of macrophytes, mammals (voles, lemmings, shrews, muskrat, beaver) and birds of prey (golden eagle). In my research, I apply new remote sensing technologies (unmanned aerial vehicles, UAV, generating aerial photographs with a spatial resolution of <5 cm). Of special interest are also spatial and temporal variations in macronutrients and trace elements in biota and aquatic-terrestrial interactions.
