Min verksamhet
I am a PhD student at Crop Production Ecology. I took my BSc. Ag. at Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), Babgladesh. I did my Master from Soil Science Dept. in soil biology at SLU, Uppsala, Sweden. My thesis was titled "Potential use of Rhizobium spp. to improve growth of non-nitrogen fixing plants".
Now I am working on a doctoral project that asks the question "Impact of Brassicaceae Cover Crops on the Management of Pea Crops and Aphanomyces Pea Root Rot". The project is part of SAFEPEA program funded by SLU EkoForsk and SLF. I am working with experts in plant ecology, soil science, plant pathology and soil microbiology.
Objectives of the project:
-Find suitable species of Brassicaceae to suppress A. euteiches and Aphanomyces-pea root rot.
-Find the effective volatile chemicals and the lethal dose to suppress Aphanomyces euteiches and Aphanomyces-pea root rot.
-Find the suitable time for sowing pea seed in Brassicaceae biomass incorporated soil for getting maximum disease suppression and high pea seed germination.
-Investigate the effects of incorporated Brassicaceae biomasses on nitrogen fixing bacteria (Rhizobium spp.) and pea root nodulation.
