Research interests

The aim for my project is to investigate how good design and placement of constructed wetlands can reduce the load of both particulate and reactive phosphorus from agricultural fields to surface water. Two constructed wetlands for phosphorus retention (Bergaholm and Nybble) was established on clay soils in central Sweden. The wetlands water quality and sediment will be studied as well as the catchment area.

Information material

More information about the studies in the Bergaholm wetland you can find here

This is a Swedish film about wetlands for reducing phosphorus; how, where and why to construct them. An English subtitle will be uploaded soon.

Profilord (verksamhet):  The aim for my project is to investigate how good design and placement of constructed wetlands can reduce the load of both particulate and reactive phosphorus from agricultural fields to streams, lakes and sea. A pair of constructed wetlands for phosphorus retention will be established on clay soils in central Sweden. The wetlands water quality and sediment will be studied as well as the catchment area.
