Associate Professor in Biogeophysics

Research interests

Modeling impact of climate, land use and other human activities on functioning of terrestrial ecosystems, e.g.

  • Modeling impact of forest management on N leaching from forest ecosystems
  • Impact of climate change on soil C and N dynamics - assesment of model uncertainty for models of different scales and complexity
  • Model decription of the functioning of micro organisms and soil fauna for C sequestration
  • Development of the model Tracey to calculate accumulation and spreading of elements/compounds in trace concentrations, such as radionuclides, in a terrestrial ecosystems
  • Scaling issues - studying processes at different scales from plot, hill-slope, field/forest, catchment to regio
