Professional interests
My research interests are principally behavior of radionuclides in both natural (forest, peatland) and agricultural ecosystems with special emphasis on the role of fungi in radionuclides transfer.
Projects
1. Uptake of caesium (137C and 133Cs) as well as alkali metals K, Rb and Cs by fungi.
2. 137C, K, Rb and 133Cs in peatland vegetation and soil profiles.
3. Effect of arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) fungi on 137Cs uptake by plants on different soils.
4. Effect of potassium fertilization on 137Cs levels in plants and fungi in forest ecosystem.
