Research interests

My PhD will focus on the effects of climate change on evolution and demography of populations. My study species is the northern wheatear (Oenanthe oenanthe), a migratory, insectivorous farmland bird that has rapidly declined over the last decades. My projects will include studying the effects of warmer springs on arrival and breeding time and what effects local climate may have on reproductive success.
Since the migratory route and wintering site is unknown for the northern wheatear I will also use geolocators and stable isotope analysis to try to identify these locations.
