Stefanie is a PhD student in economics at the department since autumn 2010.

Research area
Stefanie is interested in economic questions which arise from the interaction between society and the natural environment. The first part of her work involves the analysis of the potential for increased substitution of bioenergy for fossil fuels and determine the implied regional economic effects. Stefanie is interested in partial and general equilibrium modeling for policy analysis as well as in econometric methods.
Teaching
Stefanie has been a teaching assistant for the courses Man, Society and the Environment (Master level) and Microeconomics (Basic level). From April she will also be teaching several exercise sessions in Macroeconomics (Basic level).

Stefanie received her Bachelor’s degree from Otto-Friedrich-University Bamberg, Germany in European Economic Studies and a Master’s degree in Environmental Economics from SLU. She also studied and gained work experience in the wind energy sector in Argentina. Stefanie is a member of the Bioenergy Research School at SLU.
