Alice Turinawe is an exchange PhD student at our department and a teaching assistant at Makerere University, Uganda.
Research area
Alice is interested in technologies that promote soil and water conservation and thus promote sustainable agricultural production, especially for countries that are mainly dependent on agriculture for their livelihood. She is working on evaluation of costs and benefits of different soil and water conservation technologies and their contribution to increased productivity. Alice is currently using trade-off analysis and switching regression analysis.
Teaching
Alice teaches at undergraduate level. In the last four years, she has taught the following courses:

Alice received her Bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness Managementfrom Makerere University Uganda, and her Masters degree in Agricultural and Applied Economics (AAE) from the same University in collaboration with the University of Pretoria, South Africa. She also has a Diploma in Dairy Science and Technology.
