- Fate and effects of chemicals (primarily pesticides) in the environment involving catchment-level monitoring

- Atmospheric deposition of pesticides

- Mitigation and management of diffuse pollution

- Linking of exposure and effects for organic chemicals in aquatic systems

- Development of indicators for evaluation of environmental goals

Ongoing projects 

- National monitoring program for pesticides in the aquatic environment (surface water, ground water, sediments, atmospheric deposition). Funded by the Swedish EPA.

- Is ecological structure and function in Swedish agricultural streams impaired by pesticide contamination? – Research project funded by The Swedish Council for Environment, Agricultural Sciences and Spatial Planning (FORMAS)

- Occurrence of pesticides in the environment – an internetbased source for civil servants and advisors – Research project funded by The Swedish Council for Environment, Agricultural Sciences and Spatial Planning (FORMAS)

- Co-ordinator of the program area “Organic risk substances and metals” within the SLU FoMa programme
