Researcher/ Guest lector
My main research interests lie in the area of dendroecology and dendroclimatology and, geographically, cover temperate forests of Northern Hemisphere. Up till now, I have been working mostly in Scandinavia and Eastern North America. I am exited to see how much rather precise information we can learn from the tree rings, using even rather straightforward methods. I envision dendrochronology becoming a more technologically advanced field in the coming years, better connecting itself to tree physiology. A field where the role of dendrochronology will continue to be of pivotal importance is the area of climate reconstructions and future climate modeling. This is one of the main topics we focus on at the Dendrochronological laboratory of SLU at Alnarp (DELA).
