Research interest/PhD research

My PhD-project is looking at path selection of migrating Atlantic salmon. This knowledge can be applied when building fishways or other guidance structures past migration obstacles, such as hydropower. But I also have a general interest in animal behavior and the ecology of large-scale animal migration.

Research projects/PhD-projects

  • Evaluation of the newly constructed fishway at Norrfors dam.
  • Evaluation of the newly constructed downstream fish guidance devices at Norrfors and Sikfors dams.
  • Migration studies in River Umeälven, River Piteälven and the lab at Norrfors hatchery.
