Working areas

  • Hatchery-reared salmon juveniles; rearing practices, migration and post-release survival.

PhD research

How can we produce a more wild-like salmon smolt with increased post-release survival?

Studies at the hatchery in Norrfors: feed restrictions, use of shelter, lower rearing densities, timing of migration.

Post-release migration studies in the river Umeåälven.
