Upon arrival at Stockholm-Arlanda International Airport, Stockholm
Stockholm-Arlanda International Airport is located between Uppsala and Stockholm, 36 km south of Uppsala.
Bus 801 runs between Arlanda and central Uppsala once every hour from about 4 am until midnight. The journey takes about 45 minutes and costs SEK 100. You cannot pay the ticket cash on the bus. There are vending machines at Arlanda airport terminals 2, 4 and 5 (Quickomat) where you can buy a one way ticket for the bus. Credit card only.
("Flygbussarna" connects Arlanda and Stockholm city. It is not recommended to go to Stockholm to reach Uppsala from Arlanda.)
Trains leave Arlanda for Uppsala Central Station directly from Sky City.

Taxis leave from outside the arrival hall.

- Price: about SEK 460. Ask the driver for a fixed price ("fast pris") in advance. You can pay by credit card or by cash.
- You can make an advance reservation with Uppsala Taxi: +46 18 100 000 to have a driver waiting for you in the arrival hall.
Getting from Uppsala central station to the conference venue
You can easily get to and from Ultuna Campus by local bus number 12 (Gottsunda), 20 (Graneberg) and 110 (Ultuna), the name in brackets indicates the last bus stop which is displayed on the front of the bus. They run daily from early morning to late nights, the timetables are attached to this mail.
A single ticket costs SEK 30; again, you cannot pay the ticket cash on the bus. You can buy tickets in machines at the Central station and "Stora Torget", the big square in the city centre. You can also buy a discount card at "Upplysningen" and at "Pressbyrån" in the city centre. Then a one-way trip will cost SEK 20. A third option is to use a "SMS-ticket" (only possible with a Swedish SIM card): You send an SMS with the text 'UV' to the telephone nr. 72472 and you will receive a return-SMS that you have to present to the bus driver. The bus stop closest to the symposium venue is called "Centrala Ultuna".
On the attached map of the SLU campus at Ultuna the symposium venue 'Loftet/The Loft' is marked . The address is Duhrevägen 8 B. The easiest way to get there is to walk to the undervisningshuset (main lecture building), when you are in front of its main entrance take the stairs down to the right, at the bottom turn left around the building and walk straight ahead until you reach a bridge that will take you over to 'Loftet/The loft'.
