Structure and Content
For a complete overview of the programme, see the programme homepage.
The education is a 120 ECTS degree obtained in two years with a total of four semesters. The first two semesters are spent either at UMB, NTNU, or DTU with three possible study lines including specialization in Aquatic production, Natural resources, or Industrial Production respectively, with unique focus on the entire value chain. To adjust the students level of knowledge and give them the necessary understanding of the entire chain from production to processing, core courses are given in the first semester at the university of entry (UMB, NTNU or DTU).
The core courses are mandatory for all study tracks. The core consists of four e-learning courses (4x7.5 ECTS) proposed by three universities in the consortium and the content of these courses will be the same for all three universities. As part of the core courses a field trip and an industrial assignment (problem based assignment) will be mandatory. After the first year the student travels to another university in the consortium for further specialization within the chosen study track including a master thesis.
