Depending on your major (either business administration or economics), you will develop understanding and insight into local and global use and management of natural resources. You will learn to address complex problems from both an industrial and societal perspective, with an interest in understanding and promoting sustainable development. With business administration as a major, you will study environmental management, production economics, quantitative finance, strategic management, environmental risk management and accounting as well as ethics. As an economics major, you will develop your understanding of micro economic theory, environmental policy, econometrics, policy evaluation and sustainable development. Part of the programme is arranged jointly with Uppsala University.

Prerequisites


Equivalent to Bachelor’s degree of 180 Credits including 90 Credits in one of the following subjects:
- Business Administration
- Economics
5 Credits in Mathematics, 5 Credits in Statistics.

Knowledge equivalent to English B from upper secondary school.

Qualification Awarded


This programme is in English. It is intended for students with a Bachelor´s degree in business administration or economics who wish to extend their understanding of environmental resource issues. After completing the programme, you will possess the skills to deal with environmental issues in national and international businesses and organisations, government agencies and other public sector organisations. As an economist with a profile in environmental and natural resources you will have ample employment opportunities in industry, the media, consultancy firms, authorities, international organisations and policy agencies. You will also be well equipped to apply to a Ph D programme.
