This education programme will give you a strong platform and the accurate tools for a forthcoming professional career within the field. Depending on your own country’s policy on professional certification you are able to work as a landscape architect, urban planner or in another profession that is based on knowledge about contemporary society and landscape development.
In order to be accepted onto the Master’s programme in Landscape Architecture, students must hold a bachelor degree comprising at least 180 credits with in-depth studies comprising 90 credits within one of the following subjects/educational areas:
- Landscape Architecture
- Landscape Planning
- Architecture
- Spatial Planning
- Geography*
- Water and Infrastructure Engineering*
- Surveying and Land Management*
- Cultural Heritage*
- Ecology*
- Built Environment Planning*
For subjects/educational areas marked with *, a portfolio must also be submitted. For more detailed information see description.
Alternatively, one of the following professional qualifications may be held:
- Master of Science in Landscape Architecture, Master of Architecture.
The requirement on specific eligibility according to the above can also be met by those with equivalent knowledge through an international degree, or if equivalent knowledge has been obtained in some other way.
In addition, specific admission requirements including English language proficiency demonstrated as:
- English B (Swedish secondary school) or equivalent.
