Research projects

I am working on the Linnaeus Project as a Molecular Biologist. My research interests are focused on studying the Odorant Receptors (ORs) of the African Cotton Leafworm, Spodoptera littoralis. Our efforts specifically involve investigating the ORs with a primary goal of identifying ORs that respond to host-plant odourants as well as other behaviourally relevant olfactory cues. Heterologous expression systems shall be utilized for this undertaking.
