What are you doing in the project? 

I am investigating the phenotypic response in timothy and its parental lines to waterlogging and drought, and selecting accessions of interest to identify the genes behind their response

Why is the project important? 

It is important for the industry as there is a need to develop new varieties adapted to new growing conditions caused by the rapid climate change.

What did you do before you started your PhD? 

I did a master in Plant Science at the Rhenish Friedrich Wilhelm University of Bonn in Germany.

Tell about one of your best moment or experience during your PhD studies thus far! 

I cannot think about a specific moment, but in general attending courses, workshops or conferences has been very useful to learn and exchange knowledge.
