In my most recent years of research I have been working with may aspects of urban vegetation. One of my two main focus areas are improiving urban tree coditions through better planting beds. Tree growth and vitality are both important parts of the work. Urban biodiversity is my other line of reasearch, also working with the imporance of the soil conditions for species richness and different forms of diversity.

Presentation

I am a plantecologist with a PhD in 2000 on P dynamics in soils and P uptake in plants. My post-doc was at Bangor University with Professor David Jones woring with plant P uptake mechanisms and microbial turnover of P in soil. I Went back and worked for 6 years more years at Lund University. The research questions during my years in Lund was primarily dealing with fundamental ecological principles. After that I moved to The Swedish Agricultural University (SLU) in Alnarp. After moving the reasearch has turned to more practically oriented research with close contact to practice.

Undervisning

My main teaching is in soil chemistry and plant ecology at various courses.
