Registration and practical information

Here, you can register for "The 3rd Symposium on Ecological Networks and 3rd Symposium on Molecular Analysis of Trophic Interactions" and find information about the venue and important dates.


Registration is now open. At this point, most attendants have already contributed with the abstract of a talk or poster, along with an expression of interest. On May 31, you will then have received a letter confirming acceptance and specifying the type of presentation fitting the (tight) program. This letter also included specific information on how to update your expression of interest to a true registration. Please read it carefully.

Registration details

Please note that you can attend either the full conference (11 - 15 September), or one of its parts: the 3rd Symposium on Ecological Networks (11 - 13 September) or the 3rd Symposium on Molecular Analysis of Trophic Interactions (13 - 15 September).

Registration fees

  • Delegate fee part 1, 11-13 September: 2500 SEK
  • Student fee part 1, 11-13 September: 1500 SEK
  • Delegate fee part 2, 13-15 September: 2500 SEK
  • Student fee part 2, 13-15 September: 1500 SEK
  • Delegate fee full 11-15 September: 3500 SEK
  • Student fee full 11-15 September. 2500 SEK

All prices are excluding VAT (taxes). 25% VAT will be added before payment.

Included in the registration is the program, a conference dinner (on Wednesday night), lunch during the days of attendance and refreshments during the poster sessions. Please note that some of the events need pre-registration on the registration form.

Payment must be made in advance of the conference.

Swedish delegates

  • Swedish delegates can choose to pay either by credit card or by invoice.
  • If you choose to pay by invoice, an administrative fee of SEK 100 (plus VAT) will be added. You will receive your invoice by regular mail.

Employees of Swedish University of Agricultural Science (SLU)

  • SLU- employees should choose option “Internfaktura” under payment option.
  • You need to have your Palette reference (3 digits and 3 letters) ready when you start your registration.

Delegates from outside Sweden

  • According to Swedish and legislation, 25% VAT will be added also for delegates from outside Sweden.
  • If you choose to pay by invoice an administrative fee of SEK 100 (plus VAT) will be added.
  • All payments must be made in SEK (Swedish krona)
  • Payment should be made by credit card or by bank transfer.
  • Upon choice of payment method “International bank transfer” on the registration form, you will receive an invoice including bank transfer information such as bank account, IBAN, etc. Confirmation letter and invoice will be sent by e-mail.
  • Please note that we accept the following credit cards: VISA and Master Card. We will not accept any bank charge deductions.

Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation of Registration

Notification of cancellation must be made in writing and sent to Akademikonferens, the conference secretariat. Cancellation of registration will be accepted until 11 August 2017, up to which date the total amount will be refunded minus SEK 750 for cancellation fee. We regret that no refunds or reductions of fees will be accepted for cancellations made after 11 August 2017, nor for no-shows for any reasons.

Change of Name

Should you be unable to attend, you will be given the opportunity to send a colleague in your place. Please contact the conference secretariat as soon as possible. An administration fee of SEK 250 will be charged.

Uppsala is an attractive city with approximately 150,000 inhabitants that hosts two universities and several research institutes and is packed with history. For example, Uppsala used to be home to the famous biologist Carl von Linné and several sites can be visited in and around the city to experience his heritage. Uppsala is located only 35 km’s from Stockholm Arlanda airport, and is easily reached with airport busses, trains and taxi.

The meeting venue is at Loftet at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) in Ultuna. SLU Ultuna is situated 7 km south of Uppsala city center.

Local public transportation in Uppsala

Bus: Bus lines 4, 100 and 101 runs between Uppsala Central Station and SLU throughout the day, the buses are green or yellow. The bus stop closest to the venue is called Campus Ultuna. The easiest way to pay is either on the bus (only card payment) or use the UL app. For information about time tables, fares and how to use the app, please click here.

Please note that transportation to the facilities is not included in the registration fee.

Radisson Blu Hotel, Uppsala is near the Central Train Station at the Uppsala Travel Center and it allows for easy access to nearby conference centers and historical attractions. The Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN) is an 18-minute train ride from the hotel and Stockholm is only 40 minutes away.

The Best Western Hotel Svava located in the city centre, literally a stone's throw from Uppsala Central. Station, and is easy to get to, whether you travel by car, rail or plane and bus.

The discount for the conference is no longer available unfortunately, but participants has managed to get a better rate for the rooms by using and other booking services.
