Statistical report 2010:6 (In Swedish)
The proportion of organic production in Sweden is still rising, but the 2010 target is not achieved.
The Swedish Board of Agriculture presents statistics on organic crop production 2009. The statistics are divided by county and tables are available for various crops. This is cut from their website:
“The total acreage of agricultural land, which is either converted or under conversion to organic production in 2009 amounted to just over 385,000 hectares or 12.5 percents of total area of agricultural land. Compared with 2008, the area increased by 14.5 percents.
The total acreage of converted agricultural land in 2009 amounted to just under 303,000 hectares, or 9.8 percents of total agricultural land. This represents an increase of 23 percents compared with 2008. The Government's aim is that the converted shall be equal to 20 percents of total agricultural land at the end of 2010. The proportion of converted land would need to double from 2009 to 2010, which in practice means that the government's targets are not being met.
The areas described in this report relates to areas which are cultivated in accordance with EU regulations for organic production and labelling of organic products.”
