Food Hygiene - basic course

The Meny licence in food hygiene is renamed. is a basic education in food hygiene, as suggested by the Swedish National Food Administration, report 8, 2006. The web based course, which is estimated to eight hours studies, is completed with an interactive final exam. The Meny licence - food hygiene fulfils the existing demands on all persons who handle food.

  • Personal hygiene
  • Cleaning
  • In-house inspection including HACCP

Course structure

This is an independent course. It consists of individual work via the Internet, and is concluded with a final quiz. The course content is based on real cases in different food environments, and theory sections are alternated with quizzes.

Who is the course for?

This is a basic course that all employees at the food company fshould go, and a suitable basic course for those of the company to be HACCP-trained (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points).

What does it cost and how do I register?

The Meny License in Food Hygiene costs 2 000 SEK/person (excl. VAT).

This includes three attempts at the final quiz. It is possible to register for a new final quiz and get three new attempts, if needed, which costs 750 SEK (excl. VAT). Send an email to menyanmalan@slu.se to register for a new final quiz.
