CirkuLärCentrum Ultuna: Centre for Circular Urban Food System Studies

Last changed: 29 April 2020

The long-term objective is to establish a center for research, development, and demonstration of circular food production in urban contexts, by integrating research, teaching, and collaboration in Ultuna to a larger extent.

A central starting point is local and circular solutions for sustainable energy and food production in the city; by taking advantage of resource flows, competencies and activities in the Ultuna area, we want to create synergies with the expansive urban development now taking place in Uppsala, by creating a living laboratory for new research and collaboration for sustainable urban development from an energy and food perspective.

ACTIVITIES

The project had a startup meeting in 2018, a stakeholder workshop in March 2019 to establish partner consortium, and application writing, spring 2019.

Find more information on the project on the projects web.

The project ended with initiating a continuation of the project funded by Region Uppsala.
