Erika Roman, Professor of Domestic Animal Physiology
Erika Roman is a professor of Domestic Animal Physiology since 1 August 2019. Her inauguration lecture will be held in Swedish and has the title "Hjärnan bakom beteendet".
Erika Roman’s research focuses on individual differences in animal behaviour, concerning for example risk-taking and shelter-seeking, and how such differences are connected to physiological parameters and brain function. She has developed new behavioural tests for a more complete behavioural profiling and has also refined test methodology. Erika Roman is a member of the Swedish National Committee for the Protection of Animals used for Scientific Purposes.
