🎤 Oral Presentations – Biogeomon Conference 2026
Duration

Each presentation: 15 minutes, including questions

Recommended talk length: 10–12 minutes, leaving 3–5 minutes for questions

Invited session keynote talks: 30 minutes

Exact timing will be decided by the session co-chairs and indicated in the final program
Preparing Your Presentation
-
Use clear, legible text and visuals
-
Slides in 16:9 widescreen format (standard for all session rooms)
-
Structure your talk logically: introduction → methods → results → conclusions
-
Include acknowledgements and references as appropriate
Technical Requirements

All rooms have a computer and projection facilities (as a backup, please have your presentations available on USB)

Arrive 10–15 minutes before your session to check slides
-
Uploads using the link in email by 17:00 the day before your presentation
Your file will then be transferred to the presentation computer in the appropriate lecture hall before your session begins.
All lecture halls will be equipped with a conference laptop running Microsoft Windows, with Microsoft PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat Reader installed.
Accepted presentation formats:
- PowerPoint (.pptx)
File Naming
Before uploading your presentation, please name the file according to the following format:
Session#:Intersession#_LastName_ShortDescription
Example: 12:3_Burgin_TeamScience
The session number refers to the conference session listed in the program. Each session includes between 2 and 8 hours of presentations, and each hour is assigned an “Intersession” number.
For example, “12:3” refers to:
- Session 12
- Intersession 3
- Thursday, 10:45–11:45
- Room KBC 301
Session title:
“What do ephemeral flow systems mean for the Catchment Approach to Understanding Ecosystems?”
Using this naming structure helps us place presentations in the correct lecture hall and session folder.

Be present before your session starts and introduce yourself to the session chair

Leave time for audience questions at the end

All oral presenters must be registered for the conference (Starting at Skogis Kårhuset Sunday June 7th 15:00 and Aula Nordica Entrance on confernece days).

Poster Presentations – BIOGEOMON Conference 2026
Preparing Your Poster

Standard scientific poster format: no larger than A0 (841 × 1189 mm
84.1 × 118.9 cm, 33.1 × 46.8 inches) -
Include:

📚 Introduction/Background – brief context

🔬 Methods – concise explanation

📊 Results – clear figures or tables

Presentation Sessions

Posters will be presented in dedicated sessions (Monday and Tuesday) with discussion time

Exact dates, times, and locations in the final program
🛠️ Setting Up Your Poster

Setup as early as Sunday, 7th June 2026 at Skogis Kårhuset

Posters remain on display for the entire week
-
Poster boards and mounting materials provided
-
Presenters are expected to remain with the poster during the scheduled session for questions
