Workshop 1 - "Virtual nature interventions" Umeå March 30 2023

The workshop brought together experts in social and health care, VR and digital technology, and multidisciplinary research to explore virtual nature interventions from a client perspective. The aim was to deepen the understanding of how digital nature experiences can be designed to support health and wellbeing across different target groups.

As part of the programme, participants took part in a VR session at the Curiosum dome theatre, where immersive virtual environments were experienced and evaluated. The workshop also provided a hands-on opportunity to test different types of VR equipment in practice.

The insights gained from these discussions and practical tests offered valuable guidance for selecting suitable technology for the project’s various client groups. The workshop strengthened the foundation for developing accessible, user-friendly and evidence-informed virtual nature solutions.
