Research and development of regenerative tourism services
Within the REGGAE project, we investigate how regenerative tourism services can be designed and what role they may play in shaping people’s perceptions of sustainable and more regenerative ways of living.
Through surveys and interviews, we explore the different elements and characteristics of regenerative tourism services, and how customers perceive and respond to them. The study is longitudinal, meaning that we follow developments over time and examine how businesses work to develop innovative tourism services in practice.
The project combines research with practical development. Participating entrepreneurs receive knowledge, inspiration and support to develop their businesses and services in a more regenerative direction. The knowledge collected is used both for scientific research and to support the development of the participating businesses throughout the project.
Results and activities
The project contributes to:
- scientific articles and other research findings
- training and knowledge development for entrepreneurs
- new and further-developed tourism services
- the creation and development of a network for regenerative nature tourism

By combining research, training and practical development, the project aims to contribute knowledge about how regenerative approaches can be put into practice and how tourism can be developed in ways that create positive value for both people and nature.
