Regenerative Nature Tourism – A Growing Network
Working together for a more regenerative future for nature tourism
Regenerative Nature Tourism brings together companies, destinations, DMOs, organisations and other actors who share a common ambition: to contribute to a more regenerative future for nature tourism.
The network provides a space for actors across the tourism sector to connect, exchange knowledge and experiences, and explore new ways of developing tourism that strengthens the places, communities and natural environments on which tourism depends.
From projects to a growing network
The network was initially established through the REGGAE project and further developed through the ReThink project, which expanded the network to include Destination Management Organisations (DMOs) in the Northern Periphery and Arctic (NPA) area.
The network will continue to grow through future projects and collaborations, creating opportunities for new actors to join and contribute to the development of regenerative nature tourism.
Who is part of the network?
The network brings together a diverse range of actors, including:
- Nature-based tourism companies
- Destinations and DMOs
- Researchers and educational institutions
- Regional and local organisations
- Other stakeholders interested in regenerative tourism development
Together, these actors are exploring how tourism can move beyond simply reducing negative impacts and instead contribute positively to nature, local communities, culture and long-term destination resilience.
