WIFORCE Data support centre – Support for researchers and partners
The WIFORCE Data Support Centre provides support in data management, artificial intelligence (AI), modelling and data analysis. The centre is primarily intended for researchers, PhD students and partners within WIFORCE.
What support is available today?
The Data Support Centre is currently being established, but researchers and partners can already receive support with:
- identifying relevant data sources
- questions related to access, use and sharing of research data
- AI, machine learning and modelling
- selecting appropriate computing resources
- planning data-intensive research projects
- opportunities to combine data and expertise from different research fields
- opportunities for collaboration within WIFORCE and with external partners
Do you have a research project, an idea or a data-related challenge you would like to discuss? Contact Nicolas Delhomme, Coordinator of the WIFORCE Data Support Centre.
Support – not a service
The Data Support Centre provides support and guidance in data management, AI and computing.
The centre does not carry out research, analyses or data processing on behalf of users. Instead, it helps researchers identify appropriate methods, expertise and resources for their projects.
Under development
The Data Support Centre is currently in its start-up phase. Several components are being developed, including:
- a data catalogue where users will be able to discover and search for relevant datasets
- processes for requesting and gaining access to data
- solutions for managing large datasets
- solutions for handling sensitive data
- expanded support in AI and advanced data analysis
- a network of individuals with expertise in research data across different subject areas
- the organisational structure of the Data Support Centre
More information will be published as the centre develops.
