Plenary keynote speakers

Agri4D has gathered a range of very qualified speakers to talk about their areas of expertise during the conference. There are speakers from all over the world; from academia to governmental and intergovernmental organisations. Here you can read more about them and their work for global food security. 
 

Meet the opening speakers at Agri4D 2021

SLU's vice chancellor outside at campus

Maria Knutson Wedel, Vice-Chancellor SLU

Maria Knutson Wedel is the Vice-Chancellor at SLU since 2019. She is committed to researcheducation, internationalisation, sustainability integration and leadership.

She has a Master of Science in Engineering Physics from Chalmers University of Technology, a PhD in Physics and has been educational development leadervice president of education Chalmers University of Technology as well as vice chairman at the Gothenburg Centre for Sustainable Development. 

 

Janine Alm Ericson, Sweden´s State Secretary

Janine Alm Ericson is State Secretary to the Minister for International Development Cooperation overseeing Sweden’s Policy for Global Development and the development cooperation components of the Swedish Feminist Foreign Policy.  

Prior, Janine Alm Ericson was Group leader of the Green Party in the Riksdag, member of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Affairs and gender equality policy spokesperson.  

University studies in political science, economics, peace and conflict, developing countries and environmental science.
