INNOVATIVE DOCTORAL EDUCATION
The course for doctoral students aims at improving skills in:
- Pedagogy
- Scientific approach, research ethics and ethical judgment in your specific field of research
- Information retrieval and scientific communication
together with doctoral students from other African countries and Sweden and supported by facilitators from Makerere University and the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) so you also get
- International, intercultural and global perspectives
- International networks
- Interdisciplinary context
The workshops for senior staff aims at improving understanding and skills in
- Pedagogics for teaching and learning in higher education
- Pedagogics for supervisors
- Science and society: Scientists’ responsibility for consequences of science, the expert and advisory roles, environmental issues in research and dual-use items
- Sustainable infrastructure for scientific communication – global and local perspectives on open access
