Background

I was born and raised in Italy. I studied Engineering of Building and Urban System at the University of Bologna. I graduated in 2014 after a research period carried out at the Landscape Architecture Department of the University of Oregon. The research study aimed to provide a methodological framework for the analysis and for the design of cycling paths. The research project used case studies from the Western United
States and in particular the city of Eugene (Oregon), to envision a methodology to
qualify Cycling Paths in the Landscape.

After my Master's Degree I continued my studies as tutor at the Architecture Department of the University of Bologna, with particular interest in landscape architecture research, especially on sustainable mobility and its relation with different types of landscape design (urban, suburban and rural) and in the relationship between urban design and identity of places.

From 2014 to 2017 I have collaborated with various design studios and municipalities in Italy, working as a technical advisor of various projects on sustainable mobility design and plan, with specific reference to the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans - SUMP.

In the same years I took part to various Interantional Workshops focused on participatory design processes. The projects aimed to build democracy in the design processes and to help spatial planning students and researchers learn practices that help build more inclusive societies.
