Mulatu Geleta Dida

Mulatu Geleta Dida
Currently, I am actively engaged in domestication and breeding of Lepidium campestre (field cress) as a future industrial oil and catch crop for Sweden and beyond. In parallel to this, I am also involved in the development of genomic tools and resources that can contribute to fast-track domestication of this species. My other major research is on Guizotia abyssinica (noug), an oil crop mainly grown in Ethiopia, with focus on oil content and quality as well as photoperiod sensitivity.
