Coronavirus in horses

Coronavirus infection is a common disease in Swedish horses that causes fever, reduced general condition and diarrhea. We know very little about the spread of the disease and the virus in Sweden.
Project proposal:
- Genetic characterization of the virus
- Serological studies
- Studies of stables with previous outbreaks: clinic, epidemiology, virology.
The thesis is carried out in collaboration with SVA.
