Development of the variety trials for silage maize in Sweden

The aim of the project was to create a basis for a decision support system för cultivation of silage maize in Sweden, based on varieties and risk management.

During the project the mechanistic model MAISPROQ, developed in Germany, has been evaluated in combination with a new application of near infrared (NIR) forage analyses. More information about the project can be found on the Swedish page. 

This project is a collaboration between 4 departments and has been founded by Stiftelsen lantbruksforskning, Lantmännens forskningsstiftelse and Partnerskap Alnarp. The project group was:
