Journals

As you probably know, most recent research articles can easily be found on the internet. However, there are lots of valuable and interesting older research and information that is only available in paperback format. The library at SLU Aqua´s Institute of Freshwater Research provides a great collection of periodicals with fish ecological interest. We have older series of journals produced in house such as Information från Sötvattenslaboratoriet Drottningholm and Institute of Freshwater Research, Drottningholm - Report, Fiskeriverket informerar and many more products produced here throughout the years.

The library also includes several older Swedish fish related journals such as Meddelanden från kungliga lantbruksstyrelsen and Svensk Fiskeritidskrift as well as international journals like Canadian Journal of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences, Ecology of Freshwater Fish, Environmental Biology of Fishes, Fish and Fisheries, Fisheries Management and Ecology, Fisheries Research, Fishery Bulletin, Freshwater Biology, Journal of Crustacean Biology, Journal of Fish Biology, Reviews in Fish Biology and Fisheries and Transactions of the American Fisheries Society. In addition to that, the library also contains a large collection of offprints, some dating as far back as to the 1800th century.

The public has access to the library by arrangement with the library manager. Copies are communicated on request.
