At the Department of Aquatic Resources you will find lots of research opportunities! With our facilities you can study fish in natural conditions, aquariums, troughs, ponds or in the largest stream aquarium in Europe. Or hire one of our research vessels.

R/V Svea

The research vessel Svea can be used for all types of marine research and environmental monitoring. SLU Aqua use Svea during internationally coordinated fish surveys in the North Sea and the Baltic. She is owned by SLU, and can be rented. 

U/F Asterix

The survey vessel U/F Asterix is ​​ideally suited for echo soldering, trawling and surveys in coastal areas and larger lakes. She is owned by SLU, and can be rented.
