BVF courses

Last changed: 14 December 2023

At BVF, we teach at undergraduate, advanced and postgraduate level. The teaching covers large parts of the preclinical section of the veterinary education and includes bacteriology, pharmacology, immunology, parasitology, pathology, toxicology, veterinary public health science (including food hygiene and food safety) and virology.

Most of BVF's undergraduate courses are included in the veterinary program, but we also teach in the veterinary nurse program, the ethology and animal welfare program, and the animal and sustainability program, etc.

Information about courses given in English is found here. For information on courses given in Swedish, please have a look at the Swedish page.

Master's Programme in Infection Biology (in collaboration with Uppsala University)

The Master's Programme in Infection Biology allows you to take advantage of Uppsala's strong environment for research and education in infection biology. The city has two universities (Uppsala University and Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences), two university hospitals (Uppsala University hospital and University Animal Hospital) as well as three national authorities (the Swedish Food Agency, the Swedish Medical Products Agency and the National veterinary institute) responsible for food safety, medical products and outbreak surveillance. In combination, this offers a very broad competence for those who have an interest in infection biology and infectious diseases.
